When it comes to my dog training here in Marin County, I work closely with both dogs and their owners. Training becomes successful and more the results become more permanent when the owners learn the proper handling and communication that training offers for them and their dogs. Through dog training, owners gain power as a fair, loving and consistent leader. This, along with a solid structure of basic obedience work, boundaries, and setting the dog up for success, will help dogs learn the better behaviors they need, and also adopt those better behaviors as the norm. It can build confidence in the dog, as they know who to follow now, and through encouragement, positive reinforcement, and clear communication of limitations, the dog will not only be obedient, but also happy and thriving!
While working with my friend, an Orlando dog trainer we talked about why we offer in-home training, and it's because it is the best way to accomplish all of the above - obedience, happiness, consistency, and results. In-home training is one of the best ways to set the dog up for success and to ease their transition into the training regimen. It also keeps owners involved, learning, and working with their dogs.
